This Privacy Policy explains how BabyPassportPhoto ("we", "us", or "the service") collects, uses, and handles your personal information and digital assets. By visiting or using baby-passport-photo.com and its related services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and authentication credentials provided during sign-up or sign-in.
• User assets and generated content: images and files you upload, output files and derivative assets produced by the service, and associated technical metadata.
• Usage data: activity logs, processing history, feature usage, error logs, and session metrics.
• Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and standard server access logs.
• Billing records: purchase history and receipts. Payment card details are processed directly by compliant third-party payment gateways and are never stored on our servers.

3. Handling and Protection of Your Assets

Your uploaded assets are processed solely to provide the processing, generation, and export services you request.

Your baby's photos

• Purpose: a photo you upload is used only to check it against passport photo rules and to make your passport photo. We do not use it to train models, for marketing, or for anything else.

• The photo check: to check a photo, a reduced copy is sent to an AI vision service (Google Gemini, through OpenRouter), which returns a list of labels such as "hand in frame" or "even light". We do not ask that service to keep the photo.

• How long we keep it: uploads you don't pay for are deleted after 24 hours. Photos you pay for are kept for 30 days so you can download them again, then deleted.

• Deleting sooner: email support@baby-passport-photo.com from the address you used at checkout and we will delete your photos.

• No sale or publication: We do not sell your original files or generated outputs, nor do we publish them without your explicit consent.

• Third-party processing: To execute compute pipelines and storage, we work with third-party cloud providers bound by strict confidentiality and data protection standards.

• De-identified metrics: Aggregated and anonymized performance data that cannot reasonably be linked to you or your files may be used to maintain and optimize the service.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information strictly to: operate and deliver core services, verify identity, process payments, provide customer support, detect and prevent abuse or fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve product performance.

5. Data Retention and Cleanup

• Generated files: Stored according to the retention window of your active plan, after which they are scheduled for automatic deletion.
• Account data: Retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed, except where retention is required for legal, financial, or security compliance.

6. Third-Party Services

Operating the service involves third-party providers for cloud hosting, AI compute, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. Each provider accesses only the data strictly necessary for its function and is bound by confidentiality agreements.

7. Security and User Responsibility

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards. Users remain responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

The service is not intended for anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe such data has been collected, please contact us for immediate deletion.
